We are always looking to ‘evolve’ especially within the Evolution branded wines. Here’s where Evolution in Progress comes in. This program is intended to give our winemaking team the chance to play with a wider variety of wines and share them with Evolution fans. All wines in this program are fully crafted to the winemaking team’s liking and are only made in small batches. Montepulciano is an Italian grape that conjures images of rollingTuscan hills, red-roofed villas, and pizza straight from il forno. The Montepulciano grapes that make up our wine might not come fromItaly, but the wine is still perfect for pizza and might even inspire you to talk with your hands!

WINEMAKING
100% montepulciano. 10 month neutral oak aging. 13.5% alcohol. A young wine with lots of potential!

THE VINTAGE
2019. rain, just so much rain! Lots of fruit. A skillfully managed later harvest.

THE NOTES
Black currants, berries, plums, licorice and leather. A touch of brightness and just enough tannins.
