Whether you call it Grenache, Grenacha, or Cannonau, this resilient little red grape is the beloved little brother of the old world family of grapes. It thrives pretty much anywhere you plant it as long as its warm and sunny, which is why we teamed up with a vineyard in the Columbia Valley to source this wine from their sun soaked slopes. Medium bodied and easy going, this is the wine you're going to want as your plus one to any party!
Picked at peak ripeness, this grapes were fermented on the skins to extract the awesome flavors from the skins. Minimal aging, this is a wine thats going to be best young and fun!
The Columbia Valley did what it does best, a warm dry summer, only a couple of heat spikes, even a wind storm, and ultimately wrapping up with beautiful dark, rich fruit!
On the nose, notes of ripe blueberry and black cherry are complemented by leather and vanilla. On the palate, tart black currant joins the other fruits, along with a hint of tobacco.
This wine will pair beautifully with classic dishes such as braised short ribs, Cassoulet, or you can get adventurous and try it with a delicious plate of Pad See Ew!
