2025 Rose Festival Rosé
VINTAGE HIGHLIGHTS
The 2025 vintage kicked off with bloom early in the first week of June, brought on by a dry spring that continued through all of bloom time, setting the stage for a successful vintage. Throughout the summer, careful canopy management helped balance sunlight to keep the fruit protected from sun damage, particularly during a brief 100-degree heat wave in late July. This mid-summer heat and simultaneous onset of veraison accelerated the sugar pick up in our grapes, pushing harvest to begin early on September 1st, marking the 48th crush at our winery. There was a small amount of rain in early September, which gave our team a short break, but the fruit continued to ripen beautifully. By late September, we were in a full harvest charge to bring in fruit, wrapping up picking on October 6th with exceptional-looking grapes.
WINE PROFILE
The 2025 Rose Festival Rosé is Oregon springtime in a bottle, opening with the scent of honeysuckle and gardenias. Its clean lime zest acidity lifts notes of ripe Hood strawberries, watermelon, and crisp pear.
We are proud to be partnering with the Portland Rose Festival for the second year in a row. With this partnership, we have created a special Rose Festival Rosé. This label captures the theme of this year's Rose Festival, "Imagine Magic". With every purchase of this limited edition bottle, we will donate $2 back to the Rose Festival non-profit. This Rosé only uses ur Pinot Noir grapes from our Concert Block, the large central block at the front of our Estate that was once the site of the famous Sokol Blosser concerts in the 1990s. The majority of the Concert Block section is Missoula flood soil, a sedimentary soil that lends itself to producing Pinot Noir that is lighter and delicate, perfect for a Rosé. Harvested and crafted with intention, we make this wine to capture Oregon summer sunshine in a bottle.
