VINTAGE HIGHLIGHTS
After a cool spring, the first notable heat came to Oregon in mid-to late June when the berries were in the early stage of development, followed by a weeklong heat wave in July. Fruit came in as usual with slightly small berries from the July heat. August brought slightly warmer than average temperatures followed by September, which was a roller coaster for temperatures with record breaking heat early and late in the month, sandwiching a very cool period in between. October continued a run of very nice conditions to end the 2024 vintage. Generally mild to warm temperatures and not much precipitation until late in October made for a vintage with little to no pressure to pick until the fruit was showing its best flavors and acidity.
WINEMAKING
The grapes were harvested between mid September and early October. 100% destemmed, fermented in stainless steel tanks, and aged for 10 months in French oak barrels (5% new, 95% neutral).
WINE PROFILE
The nose greets you with bright red fruit and green tea. Jammy raspberry and cherry fill the palate, joined by zippy acidity, velvety tannins and a finish of vanilla and black tea.

THE STORY
Our Redland Cuvée is an homage to our original Pinot Noir that we began producing in the 80s. It is named Redland after the famous Jory soil that the vines grew in; an intense, mineral-rich soil that came from ancient volcanic deposits in the Dundee Hills. Its high iron content gives the earth a rusty hue, thus the hills are often referred to as the “Red Hills”. Our Redland Cuvée is an inclusive blend of Pinot Noir sourced from our Estate and vineyards across the Willamette Valley, bringing together distinct AVAs and soil types to create a symphony in wine that is made, French oak aged, and bottled in the beautiful Red Hills that we call home.
