CRAFTING PROCESS
Inspired by the aperitivo hour across Europe, Sokol Blosser White Aperitif is a refreshing, crisp, slightly tart fortified wine perfect for whetting the appetite before a lunch or dinner meal. First, our wine was distilled to brandy (70% ABV) by distiller Lynsee Sardell at her distillery in Forest Grove, Oregon. Nik Blosser worked with Lynsee to macerate dozens of different botanical ingredients, both local and from around the world, to craft our final blend. A final mixture of a dozen ingredients was macerated in brandy for two weeks, then blended into our white wine and infused for several hours with an array of flowers, then gently strained out. The final blend was bottled by hand the last week of June.
FLAVOR PROFILE
On the nose our White Aperitif bursts with bright notes of tart lemon, pineapple, honeydew, and a touch of anise. The palate is yellow citrus forward with lemon, sweet pineapple, fruit punch and honeydew melon.
